Orthodontics
Invisalign is an invisible alternative to wire braces, used by orthodontists and dentists to help re-align teeth, thus eradicating an improper bite. The advantages of Invisalign are that they are comfortable to wear and removable. The treatment is short and painless, in contrast to the “old fashioned” orthodontics. Eating is problem free and, being transparent, the aligner has minimal impact on your everyday life. This makes everything so much easier. With this “brace for adults” you achieve straight teeth in a short period, without anyone noticing.
Invisalign in short
Invisalign is the brand name of an invisible/transparent brace made from a set of thin plastic aligners which you can slip onto your teeth. Every week you put in a new set of aligners which gradually shift your teeth to the optimal position in your jaw. Since 1998 over than 3 million treatments have been carried out successfully by dentists and orthodontists using this brace as an orthodontic tool.
The treatment progresses in 3 simple steps:
Step 1 an intake consultation to set up a treatment plan
Step 2 x-rays and impressions of your teeth are taken to create a 3D simulation of the treatment. This unique feature is not available with traditional metal wired braces.
Step 3 The actual fitting of the “invisible brace”. Subsequently you come back for a check-up every 2 to 3 months and then for a final check-up when you’ve finished wearing the last set of aligners.
